Tri-Hampton Rescue Squad (THRS) provides Emergency Medical Services (EMS) 24 hours a day to the approximate 73,000 residents and visitors within our 46 square mile primary coverage area.  This area includes Upper Southampton, Lower Southampton & Northampton Townships along with portions of Bensalem and Warwick Townships.  We have been providing this valuable service to our community for over 70 years.

In 2012 our highly trained Paramedics and EMTs were called on more than 4,500 times for service.  The costs that THRS endures in order to respond to these emergencies are ever increasing.  Additionally, we are being met with more and more challenges obtaining reimbursement for these services.  Every time 911 is called and an ambulance is dispatched, the cost to THRS for that emergency is approximately $431. Conversely, the average revenue generated by each response is approximately $332. The municipal support that THRS receives from Upper Southampton, Lower Southampton and Northampton Townships combined equates to approximately $57 per response. This leaves an unfunded gap of approximately $42 per response (nearly $190,000/ year). THRS relies on the generous support from you, our friends and neighbors in the community, to fill that gap. Without this support, we would not be able to continue operations!
